报告题目:Intertwined magnetism and topology in intrinsic magnetic topological insulator MnBi2Te4

报告摘要:The intrinsic topological insulator MnBi₂Te₄ has emerged as a fascinating platform due to its unique intertwining of magnetism and topology within the same material. This interplay gives rise to a range of intriguing phenomena, including the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the axion insulator state. In this talk, I will present our discovery of quantum metric nonlinear transport in even-layer MnBi₂Te₄. This quantum metric nonlinear transport acts as an intrinsic nonlinear response, independent of scattering time. Our findings open a new avenue for probing the quantum metric through nonlinear transport, offering potential applications in the design of magnetic nonlinear devices. Additionally, I will discuss our observation of highly tunable current-induced magnetization switching in MnBi₂Te₄.
报告人简介:王乃舟博士现为西湖大学物理系助理教授。在加入西湖大学之前,他于2019至2025年期间在新加坡南洋理工大学从事博士后研究工作,合作导师为高炜博教授。王乃舟博士于2019年在中国科学技术大学取得博士学位,导师为陈仙辉教授。他目前的研究方向集中在新奇量子现象,包括磁性、拓扑序和超导性,尤其关注低维量子材料中的磁性拓扑绝缘体。王博士已发表超过50篇学术论文,论文被引用次数累计超过6000次。
